Naptime is Funtime

Naptime has become something of a problem. We are officially 2 1/2, and we are too big for naps (if we could talk in complete sentences we would say that. Mostly, we just say "NO!" when mommy says it's naptime). In the our bedroom, we now have nothing left to play with and/or destroy. Mommy had to take all of the books and toys off of the shelves, and the rocking chair and dresser out of the room. She took the pictures off the walls, the night light out of the socket, and the lamps off the table. Then the table left the room. Now we have our two beds. That's it. Why??? Well.....because naptime is funtime, and two little girls can get in lots more trouble than one by herself. We used our tables and chairs to climb on. We pulled all of our clothes out of the dresser. We scribbled on the walls with the night light plug. We dented the lamp shades and broke the glass in the picture frames. We tore up quite a few books into tiny little pieces. For awhile, it looked like a very large family of mice lived in our room.

Mommy thought she was being very tricky when she put the dresser and bins in our closet. Little did she know, we were way ahead of her. Today, we showed mommy just how smart and inventive we can be. We were supposed to be taking a nap, and mommy took the opportunity to take a shower. When mommy got out of the shower, she heard noises upstairs in the playroom. That was not a good thing, since she closed the door to our room before she went down to take her shower. And we were supposed to be sleeping. We weren't. When she got upstairs, this is what she saw: 2 little girls wearing nothing but their shirts, covered in white goo, wearing elastic hair bands around their necks, arms, and fingers like jewelry. Yikes!!!

The goo was diaper rash cream. We got it out of the closet. We rubbed it all over ourselves, like lotion. We like lotion. We call it "oshow". We even rubbed it in our hair. We also took all of the clothes out of the dresser yet again and dumped them on the closet floor, and the socks out of the sock bin, and dumped them on the floor between our beds. Oh - and we pushed Ella's mattress off of her bed and onto the floor for good measure. We had a blast!!! After mommy cleaned us up, she decided to put us in separate rooms to take our naps. It was not as much fun, but we went to sleep, and mommy had an hour of peace before we woke up and started all over again! It's fun being a twin!
